Hovercraft Rentals – New to The Wensum Valley Hotel in 2012!
Hovercrafts are specialised vehicles which ‘float’ on a cushion of air about a foot over any surface to be used as a means of transportation and recreation both on water and on land. Powered by a fan or propeller which pushes air backwards, the hovercraft is essentially frictionless and can be steered using rudders adjusting the airflow from the propeller.
Due to its ability to travel equally well on different surfaces including; water, land and ice, hovercrafts are used throughout the world as a specialised means of transport. With the ability to reach speeds up to 35mph, hovercrafts have also become a popular recreational activity for anyone looking for a fast paced adventure.
Available from spring 2012, Wensum Valley Hotel are pleased to offer our guests the possibility to rent your own hovercraft to enjoy an exhilarating experience on our secure land-based hovercraft course. With training provided by our skilled and experienced instructors you will soon learn how to safely master your hovercraft before practicing your new skills.
For groups, parties, stag-dues, etc. we are happy to arrange fun hovercraft events where you learn how to operate a hovercraft and then challenge your friends, clients or colleges in a thrilling hovercraft race.
