The PGA Europro Tour is back!
From the 29th April to 2nd May 2013, the PGA Europro Tour is returning to Wensum Valley! Watch this space for details of the Pro Am competition, sponsorship and volunteering opportunities. And don’t forget to mark the date in your diaries to come and watch all the action!
Callaway Demo Day
On Thursday 21st June we held a Callaway Demo Day on our Driving Range, it was a huge success with members and visitors being measured up for Callaway golf clubs to suit their build. We hope to hold more later in the year so keep an eye on our forthcoming events page.
2012 Charity Day
On Sunday 6th May 2012, Club Captain Brian Lincoln organised a charity golf match in aid of Nelson’s Journey, a Norfolk based charity which provides support to bereaved children and their families. After the match a raffle was held and we raised a brilliant £700.
PGA Europro Tour 2012
From Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th April 2012, Wensum Valley proudly hosted the first round of the PGA Europro Tour 2012. The competition got off to a slow start, with play being suspended due to bad weather, and the tournament subsequently being reduced from 54 to 36 holes. After the first round only six shots separated those who made the cut, leaving the Motocaddy Masters wide open and set for a thrilling final day on the Wensum Course. In the end it was Dan Seymour (pictured below with Basil Todd) who eventually won the event after a dramatic play-off against Liam Burns on the 18th hole. A great time was had by everyone involved, despite the less than perfect weather conditions. We wish all the players every success with the rest of the tour.
